MINORITY RULE: Ari Berman's Book Details How It Came About and How Republicans Have Entrenched It Even Further

Minority Rule review: rich history of America’s undemocratic democracy The Guardian From an absurd Senate where California and Wyoming are equal, to Republican voter suppression, Ari Berman covers it all

This review of the Berman's book, Minority Rule reveals how from the start, minority rule became entrenched into the fabric of our 'democracy' and subsequently, via the undaunted efforts of the conservative right, imposed upon the whole.

SOME of the FACTS detailed in the article include:

Forty Republican senators representing just 21% of the population have blocked bills on abortion rights, voting rights and gun control, all supported by a vast majority.

In six years, the Federalist Society raised $580 million through a secretive network of dark money 'nonprofits' to put preferred judges on the bench.

The result being that over 700 judges appointed by two Bushes and Donald Trump were HAND PICKED by the Federalist Society.

And 5 of the 6 conservative SCOTUS justices were also appointed by Republicans residents (yeah... I forgot the p) who lost the popular vote, and were then confirmed by senators representing a minority.”

The article also details how these right winged appointed judges went on to further FIX rules, laws, and even America's democratic institutions, in THEIR FAVOR... in order to further empower their minority rule.

And that's not the half of it:
