Stormy Daniels Testifies That Trump Told Her She Reminded Him Of His Daughter

Reports said on Tuesday that Stormy Daniels testified in a New York City courtroom that Donald Trump told her that she reminded him of his daughter, presumably meaning Ivanka. Daniels was appearing as part of a criminal trial on charges accusing Trump of falsifying business records related to hush money that Daniels eventually received in connection to an alleged sexual encounter between her and the ex-president.

One report of Daniels’ testimony came from legal journalist Tyler McBrien. “You remind me of my daughter because she is smart and blonde and beautiful and people underestimate her as well,” Trump allegedly said, per Daniels. And remember, testifying as a trial witness puts the person doing so under the threat of serious criminal proceedings if they’re caught lying. The context for the alleged remarks from Trump was a dinner in which the eventual U.S. president was pushing the idea of Daniels participating in his television show “The Apprentice.”

Trump posted — then quickly deleted — a complaint on his personal account on Truth Social in the lead-up to Daniels appearing as a witness, a rant that was deleted presumably in view of the recently reiterated threat from presiding Judge Juan Merchan of detention if Trump is again found in contempt in the context of a gag order imposed earlier by the judge, which protects witnesses. Trump didn’t identify Daniels by name in the public complaints, but the comments still singled out the process of her showing up to give testimony, as it later became clear.

Trump is compelled to attend the proceedings because of their specifically criminal nature, so he was there — again — for the testimony being delivered by Daniels. Earlier, Merchan allowed the prosecution to move forward with basic questions about details of the alleged sexual encounter between Daniels and Trump, apparently somewhat overriding predictable objections from the Trump team to the possibility of testimony related to sexual activity.

It is beyond disgusting. Even within the spectrum of human sexual behavior. I have a teenaged daughter. She is developing into a young woman. I know and understand that secondary sexual characteristics develop and hormones ramp up, and romantic and sexual desires start to have more of an effect on any typically developing young person. For most of us, that process continues to well into older adulthood (not the secondary sexual characteristics, but the other stuff)

My take on this was Trump saying to Daniels, a porn star, in the business of stoking up sexual desires in people for money (nothing inherently wrong with her profession) but again TRUMP told her, "You remind me of my daughter, blonde and beautiful" now let me put my penis into your vagina (like I want to with my daughter...?)

45. People in general, but Conservatives especially have great capacity to ignore the obvious.

We are really good at compartmentalizing, or repressing thoughts and ideas that make us uncomfortable. Think about what Conservatism as a political ideology, actually stands for. Conservatism posits a "Natural Hierarchy" and that certain people are better and simply deserving of more benefits from society. There are people at the top and people at the bottom and we should accept our place and fulfill our destiny. If god wanted you at the top, you'd be at the top. That is, simplistically, the worldview that drives Conservative policy and action.

If you are not at the top, why the hell would you support that ideology? Because you IGNORE the reality that you will with 99% likelihood, NEVER be at the top. You think "One day, I will be a millionaire", sitting in your single trailer at 55 years old with your two jobs earning minimum wage, because that is what you have been sold. If you haven't made it yet it isn't because wealthy people have most of the money, control your wages, and get special advantages, it is because just aren't trying hard enough, or worse; no matter how hard you try, you just aren't good enough.

Conservatives also tend to be willing to accept whatever they have to, or ignore it, for the sake of having power. I think that we have to understand the Conservatives tend to use mythological and religious symbolism not because they are pious or historically literate, but because mythology and religion pull most strongly at our emotions. They are mandate from god to bring their desired plans to reality. They inspire a religious fervour in their followers, who will see basically NONE of the benefits of a Conservative victory, except maybe the suffering of perceived enemies.

Now imagine what you think when it turns out this is father and daughter.

Then you see the same couple in a photo at a crowded music event where she is lap-dancing on him. The photog catches more than one shocked face in the audience. Daddy looks totally smug and pleased.

And there was more. He went on Howard Stern’s show and talked about his daughter’s boobs at one point, and said how if she wasn’t his daughter he would definitely “date” her.

So, why would anybody ask the victim anything? She’s adjusted to her warped family, as abused kids do, only in her case there is incentive to stick around.

they think that he can deliver the power that they love above everything else. When he falls, they will scurry away like rats on a sinking ship.

I would also quibble about "evangelical". While evangelical is considered synonymous with Trump supporters who are bigoted and hateful, there are evangelicals who are more socially liberal and try to "evangelize" using the approach directed by the beatitudes, where Christians are commanded to be of service to others. It is a smaller group but it exists.

I tend to use the phrases, Fundamentalists or Christian Dominionists to more accurately describe the type of people who fall in line with Trump and Conservatives. They aren't seeking to make the world a better place. They are seeking the supremacy of their way of thinking. They want to impose their particular views onto everyone else. Once a Christian fascism is imposed, they would undoubtedly turn on each other and the coalition of Catholic groups and many Protestant denominations would crumble into infighting because again, it is not about being "Christian" or spreading Christianity, it is about being IN POWER.

In another clip uncovered by CNN, this one from 2006, Stern asks Trump, “did your daughter get breast implants?” The real estate mogul replied that “no, she didn’t. I mean, I would know if she did. The answer is no. Why, did she look a little more stacked?”

I don't have kids and thus don't generally hang out with people who do, but I can't ever recall hearing a man talk about his daughter in such crude terms, let alone on a radio show being heard by millions. Most men would probably object very strongly to another man calling their daughter a "piece of ass", not approve of it. And by "react strongly" I mean "potentially throw hands".

He is just so skeevy and gross.
