Jon Stewart says Biden is so old he 'shouldn't be president'
Kwan Wei Kevin Tan May 6, 2024, 12:00 AM EDT

A second Trump term may be frightening, but President Joe Biden is just too old to be reelected, says comedian Jon Stewart.

"I know liberals say, 'Don't say Joe Biden is old' — don't say what people see with their own eyes," Stewart said of the 81-year-old president. "I know you know how fucking old he is, and I know you don't want to say it because Trump is so scary, but he's so fucking old."

"When you watch him on television, you're nervous, aren't ya?" Stewart continued.

Joe Biden has been a very successful president and much of that is due to his vast experience and excellent judgment. There was a younger version of Biden at one time, who was more energetic and articulate, but this slower, calmer Biden is doing an extraordinary job. We are lucky to have him.

I agree, the time to discuss this is past and I cannot believe Stewart brought it up again. He got lot of flack for going after Biden's age when he first came back to The Daily Show. I thought he had made amends, but apparently not. I'm very disappointed.

I agree that Pres.Biden is up there in age, but it's between Trump and Biden for President. That's our choices.

Jon Stewart's second act shouldn't have happened.

Thank God the youngsters don't know who he is and I think those who appreciated him during the Bush years (like I did) are so anti-Trump that his opinion and his words are meaningless....And, I don't think TDS is nearly as important now as it was in the early 2000's...

How the F does he not realize that voting for Biden is voting for Democracy!?!?! What is wrong with him?!?!

the false narrative perpetrated by Trump and his followers that Biden is a senile old man (even though he is not cognitively impaired like Trump and actually has solutions to improve the lives of Americans). 2/ The need to attract younger voters. Two old white guys (okay, one is orange) isn't the best way to excite young voters. 3/ Despite Trump's cognitive impairment and fascist agenda, who shows more vigor and is energizing their base best?

The idea that all politicians are the same, crooks & liars, Biden will cling to power and refuse to step down if he has serious health problems and can't do the job because everyone's a corrupt power-and-money-monster? So tired of Democrats slandered this way. It really doesn't work anymore, no matter how you scrunch up your face trying to look earnest, Stewart. No audience for it.

But so fun stickin' it to the libs, I guess.

To bring back Trevor Noah? After all, he's younger, more talented and far better-looking (IMO). Plus he has that awesome accent.

And of course, not a smug, self-righteous and traitorous prat. Well, maybe he has some smug and self-righteous (didn't watch him enough to know), but the main thing is that he's not a traitor.

I can live with that.

Some of y'all are going to have to deal with that, especially if you're going to be out knocking doors this summer and fall.

It's not an unreasonable position to think an 81 year old shouldn't have one of the most demanding jobs in the world. It's really not. It's not "ageist" or prejudicial. It's a reasonable assessment of basic human processes.
