one maggot on the jury who will nullify the entire process. Odds are that they will be right, that they can put on a non-defense defense and still prevail.

Poor old Trump, the ultimate "family man" broke the law to keep from hurting his wife's feelings....

12. Hung jury is not acquittal

One holdout can prevent a verdict. But the case can be retried.

I guess you might call that prevailing. I'm sure Trump would declare a hung jury to be total exoneration.

But that doesn't make it so.

until November; delay is his best friend. If he wins the election, all of his problem will disappear like yesterdays cigarette smoke and he will be untouchable for the rest of his life. We will all, the majority of his ignorant supporters included, will pay dearly.

If the jury is hung, how long will it take to retry? I don't know, maybe someone here has a good estimate. If a second trial is set, that adds at least another two months for the trial, not including the down time between the two. If hung a second time, I suspect that the prosecution would throw in the towel.

All of this would have blown over by now, and he would walk away with another fine.

... but Chump isn't normal, he's a malignant narcissist. He'll never admit to anything, even when his guilt is so obvious.

5. All Trump needs is one juror who's secretly a magat.

And if there's no conviction then Trump will loudly exploit that and it'll be the end of our democracy.

Or possibly a magat hold out.
I’m concerned he will not be immediately incarcerated pending appeal if convicted. Even if only briefly.

I’m 100% that everyone of Trump’s lawyers are telling him not to testify.
I’m also 100% certain Trump thinks he’s the smartest person in the courtroom.
It’s a long shot but I think he’ll testify.

Not just for this trial, but his hopes for an appeal as well as the presidency.
