FBI warns terrorist groups could target Pride Month events around country

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- It's one of the most lively celebrations in the Bay Area. Every June, our region comes alive with the sights and sounds of Pride.

"We want to celebrate that people in San Francisco live authentic lives and that we can love who we love," said Suzanne Ford, the executive director of San Francisco Pride.

Ahead of this year's celebrations comes a new public service announcement from the FBI and Department of Homeland Security.

In it, a warning that foreign terrorist organizations like ISIS could target Pride events around the country.

3. The announcement says there are no immediate credible threats...

...And that this announcement is an advisory to ask people to take appropriate precautions.

The anouncement dies not say "isis is here" and in fact only alludes to isis as the type of terrorist group that could act against pride celebrations:

"In it, a warning that foreign terrorist organizations like ISIS could target Pride events around the country."

I will be attending a pride event, and I will be taking precautions as usual, and I encourage everyone to to enjoy this year's pride celebrations with safety in mind.

6. I would be more concerned about Proud Boys at Pride.

US Nationalists and Talibornagains tend to think the LGBTQ+ communities are weak degenerates that their angry, young, borderline incel "shock troops" can easily take on.
They, like ISIL and other terrorist foreign groups members, can't stand the thought of anyone having fun or expressing joy without them dictating where, when, and what type of fun can be had.
