When I debated in high school, we were taught how to never interrupt our opponent when he/she had the floor and to instead focus on his/her arguments to help make your own case. Trump doesn’t know how to debate. That is a problem because he has nothing to argue to support his allegations. All he knows is how to lie and filibuster. Trump will decline Joe’s offer because he knows that he would lose if he had to follow the rules, unlike anyone else, who believes in, and can actually support, their positions.

After no showing in the GOP debates, he is anything but battle tested. His rallies are not as sharp as 2016. He was bad in 2020. I'm not sure he won't find a way out of debates.
