Does anyone think for a second that the sleeping thing...

Is because he's tired ?

He is sleeping on purpose. It's his way of saying fuck you to the legal system. He's saying "I don't give a shit, I don't have to pay attention to this crap. The supreme Court is going to bail me out. I'm above all this. You guys can all go fuck yourselves. I'm taking a nap."

Pure manipulation and disrespect.

He's probably mostly awake but wants everyone to think he's asleep. He's reacting to testimony while he's "asleep", trying to appear detached and uninvolved.

As others have noted, he's a control freak.

He is sleeping at times, but often he's just gritting his teeth and closing his eyes to try to get through it. This is torture to him, he's never had to do anything like this. Every minute in court seems like an hour to him.

... the institutions of American politics and jurisprudence. That is why he can sleep like a baby because he views what he's doing is a job well done and only he is capable of achieving this astoundingly perfect end result.

trDUMP single-handedly brought down Roe Vs Wade, for decades people have tried, but only trDUMP could get the job done. His next goal is to trash American Democracy and replace it with an Oligarchic Krishtun Theocratic Hyper-Capitalistic brand of Fascism.

when you pet them. They don't run away if they trust you but I always heard the eye closing is their way of coping with the sensory overload seeing you that close up creates.

I imagine something similar is happening with Trump's lizard brain.

I went to Lies Social and counted 45 posts for one night (they are broken down by "1 day, 2 days, etc.). Some of them are quotes and could have been hustled up by a staffer. There are 3 or 4 for today.

I'd have counted for other days but hey, I'd rather be planting tomatoes.

Just an idea. If he's up all night, it's quite likely he can't stay away in the day.

And if you think about it, he perceives his job as poster. He thinks that's what it's all about (besides scamming the American public and anyone else he can deceive). So the way he sees it, he's doing his job at night now and sleeping in the day.

However, I do like the idea of drugging him but it would never happen because if he loses, his lawyers know he'll appeal.

a defense mechanism. I'm not being sympathetic here. Falling asleep under extreme stress is one way the body deals with emotional overload. In a way it just shuts down.

sit down in front of the TV, at a movie, at church, at a play, etc., and it’s hard to stay awake. I see it in my dad and father-in-law constantly. Once I got into my 50s, I began to understand.

He’s 77. So, this maybe the one thing I’ll give him a pass on.

To Biden’s credit, he doesnt seem to have this issue. If it were, you can rest assured the Republicans and media wouldve made sure we all knew!
