Here's a question for real journalists: Trump's acolytes from Congress at his trial, who paid for their travel?

Did they use their Senate budget taxpayer money to travel to New York to make this appearance,
are they there as private citizens and used their own personal funds to do so,
or did they use donated campaign funds for those of them that are running again right now?
Inquiring minds would like to know

I'm sure they called it a district observation or something like that. jimfields33 May 2024 #3
I wondered the same thing. Travel expenses should have come out of their own pockets or the Trump Campaign coffers. Fla Dem May 2024 #4

I think it would be fairly easy to find out who paid their travel expenses. Mr. Evil May 2024 #8

They seem to have no problem spending the people's money for personal enterprises so it's a great question.

Wonder who also designed and paid for their blue suit and red tie costumes.

How could their spending be traceable to a source? If they used their salaries, so what?

Here's their calendar. Are they in Manhattan when their house in session? If so, are they on 'official business'?

I ask because I don't know. Their behavior seems like political drama, but it could also be a party PSA against the judicial system.

But, keep in mind they're republicans. Being proficient in lying is required to be a member. It wouldn't surprise me at all if TSF's campaign paid for this latest installment of the continuing republican psycho circus and dog and pony show.
