But the Red Cross has a legitimate 'Holiday Mail for Heroes' program that can be used by following instructions at the last link:

(24,292 posts)5. Good call, el-Tee. Going through the Red Cross is the best method I've found (short of visiting ...
in person). And if folks have a few extra bucks, a pre-paid phone card is hugely appreciated by our wounded troops.
