MD-SEN: Alsobrooks and Hogan spar over abortion rights in Maryland Senate race
BALTIMORE (WBFF) Just one week after the primary election in Maryland, the candidates in the U.S. Senate race traded barbs over abortion rights and national access.
Angela Alsobrooks and Larry Hogan both touched on the issue Wednesday. Hogan, during an interview on the radio in Baltimore City, and Alsobrooks, during an event specifically called to push back on Hogans latest claims.
Alsobrooks, currently serving as county executive in Prince Georges County, was joined by Comptroller Brooke Lierman, state lawmakers Stephanie Smith and Shelly Hettleman, and others outside the American Visionary Art Museum in the shadow of Federal Hill.
The coalition of supporters argued despite Hogans latest comments about supporting codifying the Roe decision, his actions speak louder than words, and Alsobrooks is the only candidate Maryland voters can trust to protect abortion rights.
