(119,331 posts)He specializes in civil rights cases, and is clearly quite passionate about his work. But the job of AG is as the administrator of a very large agency - a manager, not a trial lawyer. The AG doesn't try cases (that work is delegated to staff U.S. attorneys of a particular jurisdiction) or argue appeals (the Solicitor General's office handles those). Historically, attorneys general have had experience as federal prosecutors and/or judges. Crump is good at what he does, but I can't see him as an administrator.
