only represent moments in time. They give no context. They can lie by virtue of their intentional omission (editing and cropping). No photo shopping or deepfaking need apply. This small video does not tell the whole story. I remember seeing it a few years ago (Charlottesville Nazi march time period?) and hearing that the puncher was arrested but later released (maybe acquitted?) If you find out anything more, feel free to let us all know.

That's why the police generally investigate something like this, to determine the whole story. And a context-less video of a dude cold-cocking another dude is totally something that should be investigated, if only to exonerate one party or the other…but in this case, the Seattle PD decided that since the Nazi declined to talk to them, despite having clear video evidence that this Punch-A-Nazi-Fun-Fest was TECHNICALLY illegal and "assault blah blah blah"…nobody else "reported a crime", they closed the book on it.

And I'm fine with that.

This shitbird was obviously there to make trouble. That said, legally, if the puncher wasn't personally assaulted he has no Legal Right to give the Nazi a nice nap…but I'm sure a jury would disagree, and that's probably a large part of why the PD was just like "yeah, no, what crime?"

the Nazi was taunting and hassling those two guys, then started beckoning the tall guy toward him - I don't think he expected the tall guy to step forward but as he did, the Nazi made those 'back off' gestures. If I were the tall guy, I would have punched him, too.

When the Nazis came to Seattle, they set up their little stage and stood around on it looking Nazi. We ignored them completely - there's footage of that somewhere, too. They took down their stage and all their tat and went away.
