Love all your fellow human beings? That's not the MAGA way. They need groups to act as scapegoats and people to be punished.

(2,332 posts)He was addressing his disciples, and the more likely interpretation is that he meant for them to love one another. If he'd meant a broader group, he needed to state that in unambiguous terms.
He'd certainly made it clear in other parts of the book that he didn't care very much for all of humanity, only those of Israel who followed him. He was often quite explicit about that one. See Matthew 10 where he makes it clear he's bringing a sword to divide people from one another. Or Matthew 15 and his dismissive words that he deems only those of Israel as not dogs and thus only they are worthy of his help. Or how he repeatedly calls for torturing people who don't agree with him.
Me, I don't think it's love if someone wants to hurt anyone forever for what they think.

(2,332 posts)His family were regular attendees at Norman Vincent Peale's church, and he continued to attend as an adult, although I doubt he was there every Sunday. His first and third weddings were in a church, and Peale officiated the first one. He attended services at St John's Episcopal on the day of his inauguration, and Easter services at the Episcopal church near merde-farto. In fact, before he polluted the White House he had an attendance record at church of sporadic Easter and Christmas services typical of average modern christians in the US.
It's not difficult to learn any of that, so why do people insist on lying that he never attends church?
Like it or not, he's a christian. Christians will just have to learn to deal with that if they don't like the association.

Seriously though, this is a call to arms. If you consider yourself to be a friend of the former you will gladly die for his cause.
