I think Bibi will continue this war for his own purpose

As long as Israel is fighting in Gaza, he can keep hi indicted ass in office and not face the consequences of his actions.

He is basically Israel's Trump.

1. If Netanyahu stopped the IDF from fighting tomorrow, how would that put him at risk?

People forget that Bibi's coalition has a majority of Knesset seats, and the other Parties are more extreme than he is.

until the fighting is done.
My feeling that like Bush and the Iraq War, his support among Israelis will drop once the combat is over.

6. Again - WHY would there be a new election under any circumstances?

You need a majority of the Knesset to call for new Elections, and a majority of the Knesset supports Bibi and the Gaza actions.

Not only that but as I suspected, someone posted an article about post-war Gaza negotiations and the interested parties are rich Arab countries. There is a lot going on besides Bibi. That has been obvious for some time.

4. I think it was in the Post I read recently that a member of his government said the war would go on for 7 more months.

That means around 100,000 deaths for Palestinians because it’s already approaching 40,000 with thousands more buried under the rubble of buildings plus hundreds of thousands maimed for life. Are we at attempted genocide yet or must we wait and see how many more women and children die?

And, yes, Bibi is trying to help Trump win because he knows Trump doesn’t care what he does to Palestinians and would probably tell him to nuke them all if he wanted to.

11. Bibi needs to go-latest round of protests in Israel demanding elections

If there are elections is Israel, Bibi will be voted out and Bibi would stand trial for a number of crimes that Bibi has committed. Bibi is not negotiating or the release of the hostages or the end of the war because Bibi does not want to have to stand trial.
