....claiming it was a political prosecution, etc, etc, etc, I would remind them that it was the Trump's own Justice Department that indicted Michael Cohen for his participation in this same crime back in 2018.

(912 posts)on professional football. Trump was one of the USFL team owners (NJ Generals). Long story short, Trump was present at trial and was called upon to testify. In essence, he was such an obnoxious twit during the trial, that even though the USFL won the suit, they were awarded a total of $1 ($3 considering the tripling of damages). And the USFL soon ceased to exist. End of story. (Even when he wins, he's still a loser.)

(12,150 posts)Questions. How, and by whom? What is the evidence supporting this claim? Why was this evidence not made part of the trial by the trump legal team? Will the "rigging" of the trial be the basis for his inevitable appeal?

MAGAt1: WITCH HUNT - I dont identify with any party, I just look at who is best for my well being! This was a WITCH HUNT! Senile dementia president, lunatic vice president who thinks everything is funny and a joke, most cant afford groceries and medicine. Ill take Trump any day! Felony conviction - so what, its a sham, I dont give a crap what he did with a porn star, I didnt care about Marilyn, Mary Jo, Paula or Monica they were grown ups who made their decisions . What a joke!! Im sorry that many lost their lives and I feel for their families.
MAGAt2: they turned a mistemeaner into a felony , the judge wlas a Biden supporter, Allen brag ran on getting trump, NY is very liberal this is no surprise but set back and watch trumps poll numbers go up.
... past the statue of limitation
...funny how lawyers who are not trump fans even liberals say this is a joke and all political, they took the word of Cohn who's lied under oath many times and a porno star. Again why didn't they go after Trump years ago for this? We all know why.

(9,354 posts)But what struck me was the connemt that the judge turned a misdemeanor into a felony. No he didn't. The state legislatures and governor at the time who signed it did that when they passed the law maing this misde meanor intoa felony if anf only if there was another crime involved.

Fact checking is ineffective because the landslide of lies piling up for years upon years has built a foundation of normalcy.

(53,214 posts)....they'll never see it, unless perhaps his crimes happen to them, but probably not even then.
Over the years, his hold on these people will wear off, but it will probably take a long time. Meanwhile, they'll start to pack away their stupid hats, t-shirts, and god-awful flags while they go back to watching mind-numbing television and drinking Lite beer.

(1,249 posts)We are Making America Great Again when a long standing CRIMINAL is convicted of 34 counts.
It's not our 'tfg derangement syndrome' which accuses him of criminality- our fellow citizens have confirmed it.
AND we have 3 more trials to go, plus two others if those states AGs get their act together.
Yes, America is on the right track now that old Joe has led US with the help of competent advisors.
