His Independent status is as a potential candidate for governor of WV.

He has a big fan club and they will quickly and assertively remind you of his protection under DU’s TOS.

4. That state's Senate seat will go Republican regardless of what Manchin does.

If his presence on the ballot results in no one getting %50, a runoff between the top 2 will be held.
This is a very red state. The Republican would be part of, and would win the runoff.
I don't think either Manchin or the Democratic candidate could beat the Republican.

9. Manchin thrives on media attention. Out of office he will be ignored, unless he gets a gig on Fox.

who is a low-life Trump ass-kisser.

Republicans have won total victory in West Virginia. Democrat is a dirty word in West Virginia. I don't know why because these are the people that Democrats work to help, while republicans constantly fuck them over. Just a total propaganda victory for republicans, in West Virginia and other rural states.

Manchin previously announced he would not run for reelection, a move that essentially ceded his seat to Republicans. But Democrats have held out hope he’d make a last-minute decision to run as an independent, and Friday’s move is sure to increase pressure on him to do so. Gov. Jim Justice, a Manchin rival, won the GOP primary and is heavily favored in November.

A lot of people here begging for Jim Justice in Washington. I guess they like Republicans better than Democrats that don't agree with them on everything.
