We all know that Donald J. tRump is a liar, a racist, a con-man, a hypocrite, a rapist, and a man as devoid of intelligence as he is of moral rectitude.

And now he is a convicted felon.

All of the aforementioned makes him the Perfect Candidate for the GOP, in that he epitomizes the depravity of his party, the blatant corruption of its office-holders, and the ability to attract the most gullible, lowest-IQ voters in the country.

I can't think of anyone who better represents what the GOP has become, or who more fully exemplifies that party's continuing spiral into the depths of complete madness.

There are so many other negative descriptive words to describe this foul, repulsive character that could be used but you’ve captured it effectively as usual. 9. Well you're not wrong, Nance. Still...utter depravity aside, there is still the issue

of whether he can 'win' on the strength of cheating, foreign interference and voter suppression.

As Shakespeare's Hamlet said, "To sleep, perhance to dream. Aye, there's the rub!" If Trumpy comes to power in January 2025, the dream that was this republic will become a nightmare for all of us.

Here's to hoping the people of the United States get to keep the dream and continue trying to perfect the republic...It will be so good when Trump just goes away.
