(3,096 posts)call it whatever you want, but the fact remains that I'm paying 15-20 dollars more per tank of gas than I was before prices exploded, and my home gas and electric is aslo 24-30% higher. High energy prices are causing serious rises in the cost of everything else as well.
Besides that, Joe Biden has nothing to do with energy prices

(76,706 posts)It's within 10 or 15 cents of the most It's ever been.
Of course adjusted for cost of living it was way worse during the 43 administration because it hit $4 and that was 16 years ago.
I keep track of the average price in this county & our area code. So, I can't speak to national numbers.

(7,191 posts)That was in the town that's 20 miles to the east of mine. It's always 20-50 cents per gallon less in that town. It's because they have a Pilot station that all the other gas stations in that town compete with. I'm told the low prices are because of the lower prices from their wholesaler. Funny that we can't get the same wholesaler in our town just 20 miles away....
Unusually, the price of gas in my town has been jumping up and down frequently in recent weeks, and by substantial amounts both ways. It usually makes a big jump up and stays that way for a while and then only reduces by a few pennies.
