(4,168 posts)dumpalito.com has an easy to download and use form to mail a formal complaint for the Supreme Court clerk. It even has a Brief Statement of Facts to use or adapt.
The guy who did the website has good directions.
I used it to send one last week and also a copy to Dick Durbin as chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee, marking it FYI, copy sent to the Supreme Court.

(2,710 posts)It only takes one person of ill intent to turn an orderly protest disorderly, and then you lose the point of your cause. The media will see to it. I wish people could protest like Dr. King and those with him did it in the 60's. All of the people were peaceful, and all of them were of one mind, in spite of the violence raised up against them. It's getting harder have protests like that here anymore without our message being either co-opted or corrupted by some outside influence or fettered away by our own stupidity, like taking over buildings or erecting tent cities. Once you go there, you lost already. They call it raising awareness where any publicity is good publicity, but at some point the negativity begins to outweigh the good you are trying to accomplish. Don't mind me. Just rambling, bored in the middle of the night. Gonna get off now and kill some goblins in one of these stupid games I play.

(73,726 posts)i recall a march in 03, when the iraq war started there was a small black bloc bunch who were dragging an israel flag on the ground, inviting ppl to step on it.
theyre always there. prolly always have been. organizers need a plan to contain that crap.

(2,332 posts)Not.
Millions marched against invading Iraq. How did that work out? The invasion happened, anyway. Effectiveness of protest = -1
Millions of women marched in support of women's rights after TSF was elected. How did that work out? We lost nationwide protection of abortion. Effectiveness of protest -1.
Millions protested against our government supporting authoritarian governments in Central America during the 80s. How did that work out? The government didn't stop until they got in LEGAL trouble for trading cocaine for arms, not because anyone gave a damn about protester demands. Effectiveness of protest = -1
Millions protested for racial justice in the wake of George Floyd's murder by cop. How did that work out? Well, cops are still murdering black people at will. Effectiveness of protest = -1.
I have literally dozens more examples I could use, but I doubt the lesson will sink in for fools who keep insisting on a tactic that hasn't worked in decades now. The hallmark of insanity is repeating the same failed action, and expecting a different result.
Find a new tactic because this idea of taking it to the streets does not work. Only idiots think it will anymore.

(19,373 posts)on Earth, etc. that he violated 18USC1001, where is the evidence that we should expect anything to happen? Nowhere that I can see.
Absent any expectation of a consequence/effect, this is a nonstory.

(19,373 posts)expect and demand that "news" be useful or relevant information.
"ZOMG Breaking News! *horn noises* woot! woot!" crap which doesn't go anywhere is tiresome yet omnipresent. So, yes, some evidence of relevance and usefulness for noise which fits the pattern of the preceding is needed before anyone should get excited or hopeful.
People with enough awareness to recognize this infraction as an infraction already knows that Alito is a corrupt partisan hack rather than a serious jurist. Those who deny the latter to begin with won't acknowledge the former in this case.
Absent an actual consequence to Alito, this "news" doesn't change anything.

This is getting too far down the rabbit hole. There's not a single neighbor with a working security camera. But you have armed federal agents protecting these two. And ZERO cameras in one of the richest communities in America? Anybody worried about DISCOVERY much?
Really? Smells fishy.

(7,541 posts)She said the flag was like that before this encounter. She made the point that the Alitos are "powerful people" and "we are just ordinary citizens".
It is a phrase, I do not like but it occurred to me that Justice Alito is admitting that he is "pussy whipped". He had no say in their actions.
I am sure I will attacked for that phrase, but damn it seems appropriate.
