@POTUS
Jill and I greeted 30 World War II veterans who fought on the shores of Normandy 80 years ago.
I thanked each of them for their service to our country.
On behalf of the American people, and as Commander-in-Chief, it is an honor to salute you here in Normandy once more.

(16,849 posts)it's nice to see a President and First Lady who act like human beings. We can be sure they didn't say weird and inappropriate things, that they were kind and decent.
Oh and they weren't scowling.
They are just good humans.

What a truly warm, caring human being who respects other people. Jill is also beautiful person and makes up a great couple to be in the White House.

(11,174 posts)Called Trump. It's hard to believe he was the Commander and Chief at the time he insulted all veterans.

An UNBELIEVABLY VILE piece of shit. CHICKEN SHIT. He wouldn't even visit the cemetary.
The greatest generation. The true patriots. The original Antifa:
Thank you, President Joe Biden.
Thank you for showing the dignity and respect the Greatest Generation deserve.
I could not be more proud of my President.
4 more years may not be enough to erase the stain left by the treasonous pig COWARD Dotard, but it's a start.

(18,854 posts)I shared Joe's tweet and the photos on my Facebook Timeline. I kept politics out of it. Those on my friends list who are TCF supporters will see what a TRUE, HUMBLE, and EMPATHETIC President Joe Biden is.

(3,010 posts)gives me a thrill of pride and a pang of sorrow. These are among the last of the greatest generation of which my Father, long dead now, was a part. We will not soon see their like again.

(16,301 posts)we have President Joe Biden and our beautiful First Lady, Jill Biden representing our country. When watching David Muir's report tonight I got a bit choked up remembering what it was like when we used to care about respect and decency and the importance of ceremony and decorum. Reminded me of when Jack and Jackie were in the White House. I couldn't be prouder of them. President Biden is truly a great President. I am so glad I voted for him and I will do so again.
Let those who stormed the beaches of Normandy not have done that in vain. We cannot lose our democracy! Let us each do whatever we can to be just as outspoken in our support of this President as those "others" are. I have no problem letting anyone know who I'll be voting for.
