new Fox Nooze poll shows both Abortion and Marijuana amendments will pass (Florida)

https://www.fox13news.com/news/fox-polling-shows-support-florida-abortion-marijuana-amendments-november

TAMPA - There will be two big amendments on the November ballot, which are expected to bring a lot of voters to the polls in Florida.

The Florida Supreme Court ruled in April to let voters decide on whether to legalize marijuana for recreational use and whether to give access to abortion up to 24 weeks. The current laws for marijuana are only for medicinal use. The current abortion laws just tightened in the state to a six-week ban.

A new FOX News poll released Friday shows both amendments could pass, with 69 percent of people in favor of the amendment for abortion (Amendment 4) and 66 percent of people in favor of legalizing marijuana (Amendment 3).

This is what is happening in Ohio. Last November The people voted overwhelmingly for women’s reproductive rights as a Constitutional change and for legalization of pot. They have spent eight months rewriting what the issues the people voted on really state. Vote we say….and then we watch as they disregard the will of the people. Proud products of gerrymandering. Additionally they launched a fight to keep Biden off of the2024 ballot. There is no democracy in Ohio. Coming to many red states this fall!

The tactics used for pot are well known: put huge regulatory hurdles on production and retail operations that require years and buckets of cash to meet. Add egregious levels of taxes. Make sure only Big Pot can meet the requirements. Collect ‘donations’ from Big Pot. Wonder why the informal market continues to thrive.

Similarly, the Fucked States have years of experience making abortion expensive and intrusive and difficult to obtain. They got this covered.

It's depressing that even when these referenda pass, the R's controlling the state house won't implement them in any meaningful way.

BUT - even if FL is unwinnable for Biden, the specter of a huge D turnout could pull more R resources there than otherwise would be spent. Thus leaving less R money for the real swing states.

Predictably, DeSantis and his henchmen in the State legislature will then do everything in their power to sabotage the will of the people in Florida. DeSantis will just issue another one of his RW Christian Florida Fatwas.

Republicans won't be able to do anything about increased voter turnout in November, however. Hopefully, the abortion and marijuana amendments will bring out enough Democrats to the polls to make a difference in other races.

Last big election, they - hate filled R's - left Duval County alone. We had no issues at the polls, either early voting ourselves, or when our daughter volted on election days. This time, with abortion on the ballot and Jax already installing a Dem mayor, think death sentence could do a lot more active with assigning rw shills to disrupt our votes. I'm hoping he will ignore us (to his own peril) and Jax will def go blue for the general. I don't know that this will offset all the asshole magats that have moved to this state in the last 8 years, but it certainly gives us at least a chance to flip FL blue.

Which was within the MOE. A lot of conservatives laughed when Biden opened a campaign office in Florida, but it made sense. If Joe gets Florida, it's over for Trump. He might be thinking he can ride these issues - especially abortion - to a win. Plus, the Biden camp is flush with money right now, and Trump's isn't. Even if he can't win, he can still get Trump to spend money there meaning less money on hand for swing states.
