Vlad's online bot army spewing fake quotes from Lionel Messi, Jennifer Aniston & other celebs in new propaganda campaign

PARANOID Putin's online bots are shamefully spewing out fake celebrity quotes blasting the West in an attempt to defend the war in Ukraine. Stars like Sir Elton John, Lionel Messi and Jennifer Aniston have all been pictured with a chilling pro-Russian quote in a disastrous attempt to sway the public opinion on the conflict.

Western social media users are the target of the unbelievable social media tirade with posts in English, French, German and Polish plaguing people's feeds in recent hours. The quotes are all fake and emerged from known Kremlin disinformation bots spreading lies on X.

Elton John is fraudulently quoted saying: “We fell into the Ukrainian trap. Now the EU is collapsing.” Jennifer Aniston is also pictured with the words: “We are impoverished, it’s time to forget about Ukraine.” The bot blitz was done through disinformation network Dvoynyk who published 50 fake celebrity quotes with images on X.

They also retweeted more than 120,000 of their own fake posts. Another dubious quote attributed to Scarlett Johansson said: “All countries have begun to think about themselves, and the EU is falling apart.” Movie star Angelina Jolie was also falsely accused of blasting the European parliament as "corrupt" in a hoax tweet.

If I come across something that's close to the perfect four-way intersection of divisive concern, logical fallacies, emotional melodrama, and simple repetitions of assertion/denial, I think to myself, "bye-bye R2-Ivan."

From my chair, it's the absolutism of the sky-is-falling routine regarding subjective/interpretive data that's a leading tell. And if I'm wrong, well... still ain't really missing anything of weight or substance.

If Putin would just spend all this time, money and energy fixing problems in Russia instead of trying to meddle everywhere else, it might be a less miserable place.
