Why can't the June 27 debate be broadcast more widely and freely?

This is an historic event, during a very controversial election season between our current and former presidents, and only CNN and one other free broadcast tv station will air this?

I think for free but don’t know the details. I suppose someone will be streaming it. I’m still not convinced the fat orange turd wil show up. He’s been demanding Biden takes a cognitive test on top of saying he had to do a drug test. He’s lining up his excuses, I think he’ll bail out.
