I was puzzled where she was going. But, that's our Rachel: start off discussing the Peloponnesian War and tie it all to Spiro Agnew.

I LOVE it when Rachel starts her shows sometimes in such amazingly interesting ways and have watched her long enough to know that I know it'll tie in with something completely relevant.

And I agree that her interview with Dr. Fauci was stellar!

I've listened to the first episode of her second season of her podcast, Ultra, and it was great! The second episode was released today and I'll listen tomorrow.

I love my podcasts so much that I try to spread them out through out the week (regardless of the specific day of the release) so that I'll have one per day.

I highly recommend her second season of Ultra.

it was that the Republicans have been reduced to a mob mentality which never involves any attempt to discuss or try to reach consensus, because that would involve listening and respecting other’s opinions, which they can’t actually do very well. And this is why people like subject matter experts are intolerable to them- they see facts as a threat, always.
(My off the cuff recollection- feel free to add yours.)

The only time I've ever been disappointed by her show is when some Republican would come on to try to notch their belt by thinking they were smarter than her. She's amazing.

I appreciate Rachel Maddow sounding the alarm and she is tireless in reporting the danger. I needed a break from the traitors, thugs, criminals, maniacs and liars. Glad others got to watch her show

10. We're one tick away from burning doctors as witches.

As someone who married into a nationally known family of doctors (my late father in law knew Dr. Fauci and respected him greatly) I am gobsmacked at how little people know about how medicine works, how treatments and cures develop over time, how it’s not magic. They damn near see it as such and it’s astonishingly easy to push conspiracy theories that are just plain crazy. Now that it’s so easy to garner an audience full of hysterics who will at least threaten if not act to do harm, I can’t fathom where we’re headed. It’s unreal. Just unreal.
