General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsI'm not good at this but just wanted to express my sincere appreciation of DU and all the community.
You kept me sane since 2000, when I wondered how many felt similarly. Went to DC after we invaded the country that didn't attack us, and whom we had given weapons to when it was advantageous ("Rummy"
against Iran. The 3-400,000 that filled the streets in DC that day made me realize how strong we were when we get out and are visible. MSM was, and is falling down on the job. I exclude most of MSNBC.
In any case, I love this forum and the insightful, heartfelt and meaningful communication.
Best always and thank you.

adding a space in between the last punctuation marks in each sentence, if you are using more than just a period.

(11,005 posts)I would have gone absolutely bonkers a long time ago, if not for DU, and all of the wonderful people here.
I don't post much. But I read a lot and learn a lot, thanks to all the posters who take the time to share their knowledge with all of us.

(3,251 posts)quite the interesting place. Unfortunately, I don't post as much any longer because the party has moved quite a bit to the left of where I was 20 years ago. I still consider myself to be a Democrat, but don't actually recognize certain aspects of my party any longer. A shame, really.

(11,005 posts)If we are put through another four years, (and we all know it will be more than four, because he'll never leave,) I'll have to be committed.
That, or win the lottery, so I can move to another country.

(21,799 posts)more of a "Shithole country" as TFG says we already are. Most anti-American fuckwad we have ever seen, and yet MSM treats it like a normal election. WTF is wrong with USA? My WWII Dad must be rolling in his grave.

(11,005 posts)Which means I'm stuck here.
I've been without a car for a while. I have the money in the bank to buy a new one. But I want to hold out until the election. If the worst happens, I'll probably need that money to survive. If Social Security disappears, if our healthcare disappears . . . I can't believe I even have to think of things like this.
Both of my parents served in World War II. I'm grateful they aren't here to see what has happened to this country.

(21,799 posts)And I can't believe how the last 9 years has changed us as a Nation. Sickening. And half (more?) are oblivious or complicit.
Hang onto the cash is all I can say, and hope for a Blue Wave!
