(155,064 posts)This asshole was caught in a lie. There have been many hundreds of millions of votes cast since the Heritage Foundation started monitoring voter fraud and they can only find less than 2 thousand documented cases.

During his appearance on MSNBC's "The Weekend," Kevin Roberts first battled with former RNC president Michael Steele about the Project 2025 plan to dismantle the government and remake it into an authoritarian regime presided over by newly re-elected Donald Trump.......
"There was election fraud, it has been documented over the years," the Heritage head claimed. "By the way, the Heritage Foundation is concerned about election fairness for decades and has been documenting this problem for a very long time."
Holding and reading from documents, the MSNBC host replied, "I believe, according to the Heritage Foundation, sir, by your count, the Heritage Foundation has done an investigation and according to your count, there have been 1513 proven instances of voter fraud across the United States since 1982."
"Yeah it is very hard to document," he replied as she emphasized "1500," and off-screen "Weekend " host Alicia Menendez could be heard giggling.

(6,112 posts)Claims Project 2025 is designed implement Trumpism. Now that we have a definition, go after it. Fire 2 million federal civil servants? Shout it from the rooftop. Outlaw abortion with no exceptions? Shout it from the highest mountain.
I will give him credit for articulating Trumpism in a way TFG cannot. If TFG even hints at the one of proposals in Project 2025, Joe needs to rattle off the list so EVERYONE knows what they are up to.

(17,272 posts)Seriously, what is wrong with all of these a-holes? Did their mothers not love them? Do they just hate women and not-white-male people? What happened in their lives to turn them into what they are now?

In critical swing states, many (Dem) votes will be suppressed, or not counted. What do we do then?
We are badly in need of a Plan B.

These people are insane, they are well armed, and they believe in violence and - most important - they are willing to kill
Why everyone thinks Trump will lose because we're right and they're wrong is beyond me.
This summer will bring violence and death, I expect armed thugs outside polling places, I think Gilead is a realistic outcome.

You need people with the knowledge of how to actually operate the government.
This man is an idiot as evidenced by this, and the fact that he thinks "Trumpism" is just a brand of conservatism. It is clearly a rabidly fascist, personality death-cult fixated on a demented criminal.

Answers with inane talking points, or doesn't answer at all. This is scary? Terrifying? I refuse to be terrified of ignorant grifting MAGAts.
IMO, these questions are nothing but stupid filler for pundits to get paid on a Saturday.
How I know this: I saw the handoff from this show to Ali Velshi, and they were all LAUGHING. They were all so terrified of the scary MAGAt they were yucking it up together. What Ever.

(15,159 posts)at which point it will be too late to do anything about them.
Until then, they are merely something to be aware of, and perhaps that will help stave off a disaster. So the danger is real, even if the terror is currently hypothetical.
They think it all sounds great and they have no clue how it sounds to the average swing voter. IMO our best hope is to call attention to their extremism and insanity, trounce them, and force them to abandon this blueprint for a fascist takeover.
If we run on Project 2025 and they know it was the reason for their loss, they will have to put it away. Given the name, I think even they know it has a limited shelf life for the future.

(155,064 posts)Heritage Foundation President Kevin Roberts raised new concerns with a cryptic threat about a "second American Revolution.

Eleven years later, the idea that the Heritage Foundation is producing the best intellectual conservative ideas is plainly laughable, as its president reminded the public again yesterday. HuffPost noted:
The head of an organization behind an influential policy document expected to guide a potential second Donald Trump administration declared that theres a revolution taking place right now. And he appeared to deliver an ominous warning to the radical left as he spoke.
We are in the process of the second American Revolution, which will remain bloodless ― if the left allows it to be, Kevin Roberts, president of the right-wing Heritage Foundation, said on a conservative media outlet called Real Americas Voice.

.......And while those concerns are warranted, theyre made worse by the broader significance of Heritages ongoing political efforts.
Whos responsible for the radical Project 2025 agenda? The Heritage Foundation.
Whos pre-screening the ideologies of thousands of people in the hopes of installing a pre-vetted, pro-Trump army of up to 54,000 loyalists across the federal government? The Heritage Foundation.
Whos funding an apparent blacklist of federal government workers who might stand in the way of a MAGA agenda? The Heritage Foundation.
Who put up billboards in Alabama in support of Republican Sen. Tommy Tuberville while he undermined his own countrys military? The Heritage Foundation.
Which groups former staffers have complained about their former employers prioritizing political messaging over policy formation? The Heritage Foundation.
Whose president might be in contention for White House chief of staff in a second Trump term? The Heritage Foundation.
It was against this backdrop that Heritages chief told a national television audience, We are in the process of the second American Revolution, which will remain bloodless ― if the left allows it to be, which was every bit as unsettling as it seemed.
The Heritage Foundation is now a right wing nut job organization that is not recognizable from the organization that Orin Hatch knew.
