Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) on Sunday lamented his Senate colleagues push for more oversight of the Supreme Court, arguing they are attempting to micromanage the nations high court.
The worst thing that happened is for the United States Senate and the House to determine what cases the Supreme Court hears, Graham said on Fox News Sunday.
Graham, the top-ranking Republican on the Senate Judiciary Committee, and other GOP senators blocked a bill earlier this month that would require the Supreme Court to adopt a code of conduct and create a mechanism to enforce it amid several high-profile controversies.
Theyre trying to micromanage the [Supreme Court Chief Justice John] Roberts court. Theyre trying to destroy [Supreme Court Justices Samuel] Alito and [Clarence] Thomas because they dont like the fact of conservative judges, Graham said.

(2,047 posts)Lindsey also cherry-picked the description of the perpetrators
He called them conservative justices, I'd call them radical Christian Nationalist Justices, who place what they misname as "God's Law" over U.S. Constitutional Law. They just happen to be conservative because it's the conservative Justices who are in bed with the Catholic Integralists and Fundy Christian Nationalists.
Think. Again.

But they are corrupt and when they get caught being corrupt they start the victimization of their behavior by gaslighting reality.

There's something peculiar about U.S. Senators from South Carolina; the longer they're in office, the nuttier they become.

(co-sponsored by R Blumenthal) and he sounded a serious and reasonable person. OTOH, he's a Trump suck-up and rabid RWer in many other ways.

(9,219 posts)Every other judge in every other Federal Court has an established code of ethics to both guide the judges, and prevent the kind of egregious disregard for ethical behavior that we are seeing on the Supreme Court.
But Lindsey thinks that's dumb.
Since when does ethical behavior fall into the category of micromanagement?
Oh! That's right, these are Republican judges, They are above/outside the law. Requiring a code of ethics is for the other guys.
I get it.
Jeez, Lindsey, could you ever be bigger asshole than you are now.
Note: I just heard him say, "hold my beer".

You of all people should know that!
