Julian Assange gets no sympathy from me.. he is the reason we have Trump

https://www.yahoo.com/news/afghanistan-hillary-clinton-emails-wikileaks-124058871.html?fr=sycsrp_catchall

"Stolen Democrat emails
Thousands of hacked emails from former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s campaign boss John Podesta were leaked in the run-up to the 2016 US election.

The emails, among other damaging claims, suggested that Mrs Clinton had been given campaign debate questions in advance by Donna Brazile, the then-acting chairman of the Democratic National Committee (DNC).

Another 20,000 emails were also leaked from the DNC.

The emails were later discovered to have been stolen by Russian government hackers in an apparent attempt to disrupt the election and later handed over to Assange’s team."

‘Pizzagate’ Emails, Conspiracy Theory Continue To Draw Attention
Darien Cavanaugh
Updated November 27, 2016

https://www.yahoo.com/news/pizzagate-emails-conspiracy-theory-continue-145504789.html

The allegations against Alefantis, Podesta, Clinton, and others stem from the batches of hacked emails from Podesta’s email account that were published by Wikileaks. People combing through the emails noticed several exchanges with seemingly bizarre references to pizza, pasta, and other food items. Some readers assumed the references must be code for something nefarious and began searching for connections between the Clinton campaign and pizza. That’s when they happened upon Alefantis and Comet Ping Pong.

It didn’t help matters that Alefantis is the life partner of David Brock, the head of the liberal non-profit Media Matters for America and a staunch Clinton supporter.

Apparently these “clues,” and a loose array of other assumptions based interpretations of artwork, company logos, social media photos, and professional associations, were enough to lead many to believe that something truly sinister was afoot.

Discussion of Pizzagate on the social media sites Reddit and 4Chan quickly led to publications like the alt-right website the New Nationalist and the symbology site the Vigilant Citizen releasing articles with headlines such as “Pizzagate: How 4Chan Uncovered the Sick World of Washington’s Occult Elite.”

I remember having to deal with the resignation of the then DNC chair and the anger of Sanders delegates. The Texas delegation had a mini riot due to in part these emails and the demand that Clinton delegates change their votes to Sanders and condemn Sec. Clinton.

In addition, a group of Sanders delegates yelled at my daughter and called her the c-Word because she would not try to get me to change my vote. My daughter was my guest and she got to attend the first night and see Michelle Obama.

Russia and Assange managed to disrupt the 2016 National Convention. I will not forgive Assange

only an embarrassment to Mrs. Clinton, as releasing your correspondence would be to you.

We got TFG because of a corrupt media than hung on his every word while refusing to allow Clinton to say a word, just telluing us where she was campaigning and what the polls were like in a loud voice over.

We had an intense disinformation campaign originating in Russia and amplified by stupid people here, mostly on Facebook, that suppressed voting among traditional Democrats, especially POC.

We had Cambridge Analytica, again using Facebook and the personal data gleaned from it, to target individuals to suppress the vote.

And finall, we ha JAMES FUCKING COMEY, who trumpeted a smoking gun proving Clinton's corruption just days before the election, then whispering that there was nothing there.

All of this is what gave us TFG: corrupt and lazy press acting as a monopoly, interference by a hostile foreign power, interference by a hostile corporation using data they should never have been given access to, and ONE CORRUPT FBI OFFICIAL with a carefully timed final smear.

Assange's publication of her emails, which few people read, didn't really do much, at all, because there was nothing in them.

What WikiLeaks did in 2016 was most certainly was one of the many factors -- probably right up there at the top -- of reasons why Hillary lost by the slimmest of margins to what went on to be the worst president our nation has ever had.

To the rational reader, there was nothing significant in the email dumps; however, we do not live in a world full of rational readers -- we live in a world of propaganda pushers and those that are easily swayed by said propaganda. Which is why you had a sizable portion of the population believing in bullshit like Pizzagate and that the DNC somehow robbed Sanders -- a relatively unknown nobody at the time, at least on the national level -- of his rightful nomination. It was all ridiculous bullshit, but plenty of people believed it -- more than enough to tip the election in Trump's favor.

They were just slightly increased humidity. It was a whole lot of nothing, causing outrage among Democrats but doing no real damage to Clinton. There was nothing there. Even the Murdochs found little to take out of context and shriek to their audience..

Everything else I cited was more damaging and produced,if not a flood (she won the election, after all), certainly enough reason to ruin the outdoor activities but not enough to submerge anything. The weather improved in Nov. 2020.

I admit Assange committed a serious error in judgment, anything supplied by an individual whistleblower in government was likely something that needed to be published. Anything supplied by an arm of the whole government (the GRU in the email case) had to be suspect as it constituted an official act of espionage. He should have backed off that one, maybe alerted people in US government and in the Clinton campaign as to what he'd been given and that their security was a bad joke.

Including one from Australia who somehow got the silly idea their opinion on our politics is relevant.

People also forget the masterfully timed Wikileaks dump of more hilary dirt at the same time the Access Hollywood tape surfaced. Literally moments after it surfaced. Whether or not the Russophile Putinite Assange had anything to do with it is unknown but likely IMO.

To cover the involvement of the Russians, Assange claimed that Clinton aide Seth Rich released the emails and that Hillary had him murdered for that. But the NSA dismissed those claims and said that it was definitely the Russians. Fox News ran with the Seth Rich conspiracy until his family sued them.

You know very well she had almost 3 million more votes than Trump had. Assange had not a thing to do with that, other than a few stupid emails.
