For my communication masters, I had a political science minor. My rhetoric class went crazy into the Nixon/Kennedy debates as did my modern presidency poli sci class. I could bore the absolute hell out of anyone on the topic of that debate.

He had knee surgery earlier that year. Through that he did still keep his stupid promise to visit all 50 state. So he was worn down. He hit is knee coming into the studio, so he was in a lot of pain during the debate. He has a condition where the tv cameras basically showed through his first layers of skin so it would look like he had a 5 o'clock shadow. To fix that, they put a LOT of pancake makeup on him. So any sweating at all was magnified. Plus they changed the color they were going to paint the background and it matched Nixon's suit color while Kennedy had a darker on that popped. All the things went wrong for Nixon for the first televised debate.

But he was a debater. I did and coached college debate. Nixon killed him on the issues. But most people watched it and the visuals pulled through.

Project 2025 is posted online for the whole world to see (while millions of American voters wouldn't know what it was if it bit them in the ass). Trump is completely aligned with it. If Trump is reelected, he'll be made a dictator, our government will be transformed from secular to a Christian nationalist theocracy. Schedule F will be used to immediately fire 50,000 civil servants and replace them with Trump loyalists. Our federal agencies will be altered or dismantled. Trump has promised to have huge camps built for thousands of undocumented immigrants who'll subsequently be deported. Republicans will impose a national abortion ban the split-second they're able to. If Trump regains the White House, he'll never leave. Our democracy dies.

This should have been the first thing discussed.
