(5,370 posts)Who seemed to be disruptors taking their opportunity. I'm fine with older DUers voicing their opinions. Opine away.

(52,740 posts)has the same perspective as when I was a "younger voter" at DU since 2017 and I am pro-Biden /Dem all the way. Nothing has changed except I am even more pro-Biden. I do not listen to short sighted BS, I look at the achievements of a democratically elected POTUS. Fuck the media.
Fuck the both sides BS.
Fuck anyone who can not be an educated and responsible citizen and voter.

(27,374 posts)Is there a difference if David Plouffe on MSNBC says that Joe lost the debate or if someone here says the same thing?
David Plouffe is a staunch Democrat and so are people here who feel Joe lost the debate.
I am sure the usual polls will have a field day in the coming days, glad I ignore polls.

Tomorrow we should know more.
The dust will settle.
We will see how things look.

(2,317 posts)And I see lots of longtime DU members speaking the truth about Biden’s debate performance. That’s significantly different than attacking Biden’s policies. Nobody is doing that.

(25,211 posts)I wish that Biden had started out that way, too. But he did get stronger.
Trump lied hugely throughout the entire debate. Our strength will come from attacking those lies ruthlessly and relentlessly. Use Trump's lies in campaign ads to trash him.

(5,219 posts)If this site means that we have to smile and say he killed it tonight, then it has no purpose. We need to be able to talk about what is clearly going to be a problem. He needed to knock this out of the park, and he markedly did not.

(67,106 posts)But understandably there is a tactful post mortem on the debate performance we witnessed.
What I am reading here is much more tame than comments being made on other online
liberal sites.
So the rules are holding here on DU.
Just to let you know, I think tomorrow is going to be a difficult day.

(2,591 posts)make just one suggestion (general statement to all, not OP), I would say that we all need to take a deep breath and relax a bit. I don't want to derail someone else thread but it needs to be said.
Joe Biden made excellent points tonight, his delivery was just lackluster, bordering on bad. But that doesn't mean the end of anything, it's just a stinking debate that no one will remember in a week. Joe Biden is doing good work, and many people like myself will judge him on his job performance, not his articulation in a live debate.
No, we don't need to replace him or abandon him, it's just a debate. We've seen terrible ones before that changed nothing, and this one will be the same. I'm firmly standing by Joe Biden til the end, one way or another. He's a decent guy and he's doing decent work. My vote is to continue that. I don't care if he messed up his lines, it means absolutely nothing to me or my vote.
