I'm voting for the guy who debated by citing the facts, instead of the guy who told the same old lies he's been spewing for years.
I'm voting for the guy who understood the questions posed and answered them directly, instead of the guy who had to be asked the same question two and three times - and still couldn't give a direct response.
I'm voting for the guy who speaks up for democracy, freedom, and the Constitution - and if he speaks up for those things with a stammer or a stutter, the words are still crystal clear.
As for the hair-on-fire pundits screaming DISASTER!!!, I guess they've forgotten what a disaster the tRump presidency was, and are oblivious to what a disaster a second term would be.
Biden's accomplishments in office are too numerous to name, and his honesty and decency have been on display every day.
The idea that one debate performance has the Democrats "in a panic" over Joe's candidacy is beyond ludicrous - low-hanging fruit for those stupid enough to base their political stance on the last ninety minutes instead of the last three-plus years.

(130 posts)Like you say so well, stand by the person that cares for what is right and honest. His opponent is a liar that cant answer a question and has no ground to stand on . Our future needs to be determined by decency and reality, empathy, and concern for each of us ; Joe Biden and his cohorts display that that in earnest.

(57,433 posts)There is nothing Joe did on stage that was a "disaster." He had a cold, he is old, and he has a stutter. He had a rough start to the debate but he got better as time wore on, unlike Trump who avoided answering questions and lied every time he opened his mouth. Meanwhile, Joe is the best president we've had in our lifetime.

(84 posts)Trump can stand on a stage and pull bullshit out of his ass and out of thin air. No prep is needed if you simply make things up to make you seem great in the moment. Fuck that guy. Ill crawl over broken glass to vote for Joe before I lift a finger for Trump.
Want to do something contribute, I did it tonight.

(3,109 posts)Calls to run someone else would be a disaster. We are going to need to come out swinging and not pulling punches. It's imperative that Joe's name be in the headlines and not tfg. Last night was a bump in the road, but we got to keep on keeping on, there is too much at stake. Remember that there is no bad publicity. Name seen or heard is remembered.

(99,635 posts)Not giving up on Joe for one night when he wasn't exactly his stellar self. I think the public demands too much and are often more interested in being entertained than actually contemplating substance.
I'm more disappointed in the media and comments I see here than I am in Joe's performance trying to debate an impossible opponent.

We still have one more debate to go.

(99,635 posts)Is how I see the electorate and its petty expectations for Joe. It's a product of the previous officeholder that there is so little trust in a real president who knows his job better than anyone running.
I am voting for Joe and his admin which I see as the only thing that will keep me from fleeing the country by next year. If the fuckwad takes office, I'm not staying here, I will be in imminent danger.
