How many are aware that "Post-birth abortion" is LITERALLY science fiction ?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Pre-persons

PKD disagreed strongly with Roe v. Wade and wrote this story as a "response" -- it can't honestly be called anything like a rebuttal, it's just too delusional*. It rests on the bizarre premise that Congress could vote to define the legal beginning of life as based on a test of analytical ability -- something that many living adults couldn't pass. And it completely ignores the fact that birth itself is not an arbitrarily defined moment, but a very real, definable moment in time in which 'before' and 'after' are different in the most fundamental way imaginable.

If you're willing to believe "post-birth abortion" is a thing, you probably believe The Hunger Games was a documentary.

But some theofascists have latched onto this story as a talking point, and are passing it around as if it were a reasonable argument. See https://culturalrevue.com/2022/06/26/phillip-k-dicks-lost-pro-life-short-story-the-pre-persons/ (trigger warning -- toxic religiosity at the link).

*(Many regard PKD as a brilliant author, but he had mental problems, including hearing voices in his head ("Radio Free Albemuth" is supposed to be autobiographical) and hallucinations in which he communicated with a God-like being he named "Valis" which formed the basis of a fictional trilogy.)

1. Just where do they think these post birth abortions happen and what doctors and nurses perform them?

Some super-secret facility? Not any regular medical facility because too many other staff would see people come in pregnant obviously ready to deliver and leave with no baby. How about friends, family and co-workers of these pregnant women that show up with no baby?

If that was really happening there would be websites devoted to outing couples that had their babies killed. They would never even know who to approach to hire to perform those. How would anyone wanting such a procedure even find out who to contact?
