all affected President Biden's performance. I think both candidates do better with an audience, but Trump is such an accomplished liar and bully that the lack of an audience didn't really faze him. I know that Biden usually does fine without a teleprompter, but he was feeling ill and being bombarded with lie after lie, faster than he could keep up. I know when I'm sick my brain is a bit fuzzy. Trump didn't need a teleprompter because he lies as easily as he breathes. I'm sure he was pumped up on Adderall or coke and the simple joy of being a bully. He was enjoying the hell out of himself. I'm sure his followers were thrilled by the whole thing, but no sane person is going to see Trump as anything but the lying bully he's always been.
I'm glad our President is feeling better today. Onward and upward! GOTV!

(7,964 posts)And he is TERRIFIC!. Articulate and passionate. If he was like that last night the race would be over. An audience may have made a difference but I think it was his cold more than anything.
Wow, Biden just introduced Elton John and they hugged. They split screen to a shot of Nicole smiling broadly. I feel a whole lot better today!

(6,523 posts)I stand with Joe Biden and always will. He has always been a kind and sympathetic man, I trust him with my life. He has done so much in the last few years to help people and never receives the credit he desserves. Thank him and vote for him in Nov.

(2,776 posts)I was just pointing out that when they are used (like at the NC rally today), it makes it easier to stay on track, especially when the speaker is sick.
