Pundits are missing the point of recent surveys saying Biden should be replaced.

For instance, the Morning Consult poll that was conducted today shows Biden leading by 1. However, their headline is "More Democratic Voters Than Not Want Biden Replaced After Debate Performance."

If any Democrats feel that way, it's not because they're going to suddenly prefer Trump or that the calculus for the fall will be different. It's because they're terrified of a Trump presidency and fear that a subpar campaign/candidate isn't enough to defeat Trump.

That sentiment isn't anti-Biden. It's anti-Trump. I saw one poster here today say something brilliant: If a majority of people are disappointed in Biden's performance, it's because a majority prefer him to be their president.

Be prepared for a bunch of this over the coming days.

Biden is going to bury Trump. People are not going to mess around with this anymore.
