Jennifer Rubin speaks for me!

gobsmacked by the hysteria of the get out of the race crowd? Let me explain. 1. refusing to leap to an impossible non-solution does NOT mean you think the debate went well. It was really bad. 2. white males tend to publically freak out when things dont go just so. Women cope. Nonwhites don't have the luxury of melting down. 3. a serious contingent of pundits and pollsters insisted Biden shouldn't run and are now playing the I told you so game. They want him out or to lose so they can be right. 4. many of #3 predicted the red wave and have been scrambling to save face. 5. many policy wonks brilliant on econ or foreign policy have no fucking idea how politics works. the idea of dumping Biden and bypassing Harris is political suicide.

Could it be it takes a vagina is necessary [sic] to truly understand the fall of Roe?
Does white, male privilege in America shelter from many disappointments that teach women perseverance and resilience in the face of adversity?

I'm not quite falling off the edge of the cliff anymore, although my husband thinks I'm delusional and that Biden will be replaced or it's a landslide at all levels for Rs. I've told him it can't happen unless it's Harris which would also mean a landslide for fascists. Our only chance is riding with Biden, even if it looks horrible right now. Obama totally bombed at his first debate as an incumbent, it was so embarassing. He too let Romney lie and lie and rarely responded and he wasn't old. He was over prepared not to be the angry black man. Biden should have cancelled, but he didn't and we now live with this terrible narrative of him being fatally old and frail. It makes my blood boil. Guess I'm still near the edge, but at least my toes aren't over the edge anymore. I know Biden is intelligent, it just takes him a minute to get there due to his age. He's still 100% a better choice than tcf, but I don't know that it matters when millions saw him so lost and msm heavily favors tcf.

However, we have our lives to live. I refuse to be psychotic about this although I'm sure other freak outs will come. I will volunteer and write post cards, maybe phone bank and will 100% vote for Biden. If the worst happens, as it could, we will deal then. Yes, I'm afraid, but things could be worse. So freaking glad we own our home free and clear. As long as we can come up with the taxes, they can't take this away. Big yard = big garden plus lots of room for our Aussie to run.

OTOH, still hoping tcf's dementia will show itself enough to disqualify him in the eyes of the majority of our country. He will not face justice since the rw legal system is trying to put him back as president so they can get the oligarchy established.

MCCaskill, a surrogate, was terribly disappointing. So I am not sure to what she refers.

To be clear, I am ridin’ with Biden

in McCaskill response. Didn’t see her show, but didn’t sound, from what I read, Nicolle Wallace was much better.

Acknowledge the debate went poorly and then go from there
Of course Joe shouldn't drop out
But if you start by trying to convince me I didn't see what I saw the rest becomes blah blah blah
