We don't have to accept CNN's shitty debate results

...they obviously weren't prepared for Trump to spout an endless stream of lies, and it was ridiculous to expect Joe Biden or anyone to counter that in real time.

So many pundits are telling us it wasn't the hosts' job to fact check, but it was so overwhelming, so egregious, that it was just a total breakdown of the event CNN had, themselves, organized.

It's just absurd for a news organization to disavow responsibility for misinformation spread on their own program without one effort to confront those lies and distortions.

Their multi-million dollar a head roles shouldn't be to just cluck their tongues at the chaos they not only created, but took absolutely no responsibility for - before, during, or after the event.

They put on a shitshow and blamed the person who actually respected their format and leveled with viewers. It's all the more the shame on CNN that they (and countless other paid pundits) essentially rewarded the glib liar with whatever they call a win.

So they have no reason to be making ANY pronouncements and judgments about it.

But Biden’s campaign agreed before the debate that CNN and the moderators would not engage in any fact checking. Why are you blaming CNN for something that Biden agreed to?

by CNN prior to the debates as questions were asked. I don't believe it was part of the agreement between the campaigns. Could be wrong, but that's my recollection.

The laissez-faire format for the debate, in which CNN moderators Jake Tapper and Dana Bash were to act as facilitators and not step in as fact-checkers, was agreed to by both Trump and Biden camps.

I read stories days before the debate stating there would be no fact-checking and wondering how that would work.

...it's not as if the candidates rented out an auditorium.

What responsibility do you think CNN has for the misinformation fest? I'll be damned if Joe Biden is responsible for the string of lies and slanderous attacks from Trump.

Why would any reputable news organization be fine with what happened?

..watching tsf rage and spew constant bs would cause anyone to see one crazy mf'er. He doesn't appear sane, ever. Poll numbers of any kind may/may not show the reality that tsf didn't attract any new voters.
