At this time Biden has made it clear he is not stepping down, and is up to the job.
Unless that changes he is our candidate, and it is time to accept that and move forward to defeat trump

(23,229 posts)I sympathize with the burden he now bears; he has borne tremendous burdens before, and I trust whatever he decides will be what he thinks is best for him and the country.

(6,670 posts)* is almost inexplicable. From the dusty and cobwebbed corners of the minds at TYT, and even in some progressive online forums and chatrooms, I am observing former Bernie fans who seem to be seriously arguing that he be allowed to step in and take Biden's place. It makes no sense to me. People who say such things are not living in the real world and are indulging their fantasies that someone older than Biden, and who lost the party's nomination twice, could somehow pull-out a last minute victory. Nevertheless, folks like Cenk are still carrying a grudge from 2016 and 2020 and they aren't shy about letting it show regardless of how absurd it is. Other than what I've speculated about already, I cannot truly or fully understand what the motivation is. Unless it's to create or contribute to an atmosphere that completely sabotages Biden, and then they can have the personal satisfaction of claiming "I told you so!" as justification for their ridiculous notions of a last-minute Bernie substitution. Ugh!
