When you guys have been out in the community have you heard any discussion about the debate?

I’ve been at my job amongst lots of coworkers, I socialize at a club, I’ve been out to dinner, I’ve stood in grocery lines, I’ve been to a cocktail party with about a dozen people. Not once have I heard one word about the debate or anything remotely political.

I don’t know. I think ordinary folks just aren’t that into it yet.

We are groupies… we live and breathe politics. But honestly, I bet on this last day of June most people don’t even know or don’t yet really care about the election that will take place shortly before Thanksgiving.

I don’t bring up politics in my daily activities. I have not heard anything.

I rarely discuss politics @ walgreens (which I visit only occasionally) or Dunkin or my grocery store.

Also it's hot today and neighbor broke DirecTV cable when trimming my hedge, so I spent time discussing timing for repair with Tech support; I'll be 'home alone' with y'all til Wednesday 2 p.m.

That Trump lied profusely as usual and Biden looked like death and couldn't finish a sentence.

What they do with that depends on their pre-existing biases, but from what I've seen it 1) energized Trump's cult; 2) worried people who don't like Trump even though they don't follow politics closely; and 3) fired up and was seen as vindication by the "it's all corrupt and rigged" crowd (most of whom I suspect will end up voting for Trump because he trades in anti-establishment rhetoric and "maybe he'll at least shake things up&quot .

But I said the early polls didn't show much effect.
I just wish everyone would shut up criticizing him and calling for resignation, because this will blow over. No one remembers that Obama had some bad debates, and so did Bush II.
