Those who didn't vote for her in 2016 GE bear responsibility for this travesty of justice.

But few if any believed.
That's the tragedy we're living.

(49,020 posts)more votes than trump got. People who voted for her in the primary and the general remember how the system works. Well... except for a few. A president is elected by the electoral vote. So a person can win by more votes but if they don't win the popular vote in some state or three, and get the EC from those states it doesn't matter how many people voted for them.
I also remember how Jill fcking Stein got more votes in 3 crucial states than the felon's margin of victory. Thus I have demonstrated an understanding of the electoral college, just in case Rob comes back.

(29,299 posts)All that bullshit about being corrupt and "beholden" to wealthy donors and Wall Street, repeated endlessly. Average donation was under $100, first campaign in history where the majority of donations were from women. Working class women voted Democratic. That was the "establishment."

betsuni
(29,299 posts)"It's a little ridiculous to call an organization Congress and Republican presidential candidates have spent months attacking 'establishment' -- especially when Planned Parenthood health centers are out there every day ensuring millions of often marginalized Americans have access to basic reproductive health care. It is regrettable and surprising to hear Sen. Sanders describe the very groups that fight on behalf of millions of often marginalized Americans -- people who often still have to fight for their most basic rights -- as 'establishment.'"

(1,217 posts)this country had one chance & threw it all away. I'm afraid that Pres Biden, though a great pres, came too late to stop a fascist takeover imho. Him getting a second term is our last, final hope as a democracy.

We women speaking up LOUDLY since 2015 and before were constantly accused of being hysterical and alarmist (often by liberal men). Yeah, Im bitter AF for sure. She has to be and this has the self-control of a saint, imo.
