As part of his official duty, Biden should issue an executive order stating a convicted felon cannot serve as president (Original Post) Stinky The Clown Jul 2024 OP

When it states the "only" requirements (age, natural born), that sort of precludes other disqualifiers and no doubt there is "settled law" (hah, forever more in quotes) on the matter.

just because he would be immune from prosecution doesn't mean an illegal or unconstitutional act would stand unchallenged.

That could quickly cascade into a constitutional crisis. A real one. Where the potus flat out disregards a scotus ruling, pardoning anyone who gets subpoenaed or indicted.

Justice matters.

Convicted felons cannot run for President of the United States pending appeal to protect the country from potential lawlessness which is an official duty of the President.

"No felon can serve as POTUS" so as not to interfere with the Constitutional right to run (or is it the other way around?)

Justice matters.

The corrupt six will issue a ruling in less than 48 hours...

But the campaign can use it to repeat that talking point over and over and over up to Election Day.

Let's play ball... using their own tactics (for the good this time).
