(12,412 posts)judge will decide the SC ruling doesn't apply here as pointed out above-- it was before his presidency. That might just take a few days, not counting inevitable appeals.
Truthfully, if the sentencing is going to be a stern lecture and a slap on the wrist, I'd just as soon it gets delayed or trump will run around saying it was not big deal with no real consequences.
Now, if he's getting prison time, hope judge stays with July 11 and Marshals take him into immediate custody. He won't even have anyone in the court to yell "I love you" as he's hauled away.

(2,264 posts)and his Attorney's appeal it does he go directly to jail which I hope? Or do we have to wait for the appeal process to take place? Is even 1 charge 3 or 4 years in jail if that's what the Judge orders?

(12,412 posts)believe as so-called "first offender" -- which is laughable because he's been a serial criminal for decades -- he won't get prison time.

(12,412 posts)I just don't think trump will get prison time for this case, although he damn sure deserves it for any number of crimes he's committed over the years. I'll be watching on July 11th for sure.
