Mescalero Apache Christ Icon taken/stolen by Catholic Church
Mescalero is just recovering from recent fires and flooding when they discovered two pieces of art were taken surreptitiously.
Talk about disrespect. The sheer gall of it is sickening.
The Diocese acknowledges taking them, claiming they belong to the church. The current priest has called them pagan.
