He's talking to the people in the room (looking side to side), NOT to the American people (looking straight at the camera).

(96,882 posts)A good politician looks to the teleprompter to cue him as to where he is at the speech, then faces the audience in front of him.
I saw him do it on Friday. The problem is that the camera was straight in front of him, but the reporters were left and right, and that that's what he focused on.

Obnoxious as hell. And hugely inappropriate considering what the Court had gotten away with and what Joe was addressing.
Enough of the faux moral outrage and aggrieved tone.

(35,337 posts)In a press conference, I don't expect him to be speaking to a camera - I expect him to be speaking to the media in the room, which is exactly what he appeared to be doing.

Is there a point to your question?

I am in SoCal, but will fly to NYC.
Edit to add - you want my name? My net worth (that seems to be a big thing to you)
No conditions, call out what you want, and I will be in NY next week.

(96,882 posts)...but my goal is to win the election, not to feel good about what my candidate said. One thing I've done for the past 24 years is go up to New Hampshire the weekend before the Primary and sit in on every campaign event to see how different candidates are doing. I've learned some things about campaigning, and once is that you speak TO THE VOTERS. That could be the audience in front of you at a rally or town hall, OR it could be TO THE CAMERA in the case of a televised speech. This is something I know Biden can do because I've seen it before. And it frustrates me when candidates lose an opportunity to connect to the voters for technical flaws.

There are plenty of "fake" democratic sites where anti-Biden stuff can be posted to hearts content, but it this point, it's nothing but trolling.

We have a lot of work to do starting right fucking now! Abandoning Joe Biden IS NOT an option. We are in another fight for our for survival as a country from a TYRANNICAL man and 6 on the US Supreme Court who are all to willing to tear up the US Constitution, erase US History, negate our RIGHTS and FREEDOMS one decision at a time.
WE CANNOT DESPAIR! As former President Barack Obama once said... "DON'T BOO! VOTE!"
