Is it possible that the Supreme Court conspired with Donald Trump and Steve Bannon...?

...to come up with their ruling on "absolute immunity"?

Because it sounded like something that Steve Bannon would write. And because it sounds very much like the right wing plan in Project 2025.

And because Steve Bannon was so certain that he would not go to prison. Why did he think that?

And the bounds that all of them went to protect Donald Trump and their plan to demolish the "administrative state". I could see how all six of the radical Justices, including John Roberts, would think that was a good idea.

And how they were willing to misinterpret the Constitution in order to rule that Trump had special immunity and could not go to jail. They even built in the safeguard where each specific charge against the President could be appealed to the Supreme Court and they would be the final arbiter.

The ruling yesterday was one of the most partisan rulings I have ever seen or read about in my many years.

I get the feeling that the Trump/Bannon agenda is the same as the Thomas/Alito agenda of the radical Supreme Court. They are all on board.

Bannon was stating very emphatically that there is absolutely No way that Trump will lose this election.

Bannon has inside knowledge on how Trump will pull off a scam. Probably had a strong hand in developing the scam.

And yes, the SC has helped Trump and will help him become dictator. Their ruling on being the determiners of Trump immunity is their way of getting Trump in office, and controlling him for the people who bought the court. .

Why was Mike Johnson and the Republicans wanting to go to the Supreme Court to keep Steve Bannon from going to jail.

They were likely admonished that it "would look too obvious" that the Supreme Court was all in with their plan to destroy the "administrative state". They must have thought they could keep anonymity from the rest of the conspirators against our democracy.

That is why they were willing to ignore the Constitution and make up their own rules to protect their own.

With their ruling that the SC determines what is covered by immunity and what isn't they protect AND control Trump for the people who bought them. The goal is to keep Dems out of government, especially the WH, put their own guy in, get their agenda fulfilled through him, and control how far he can go in serving himself more than the puppet masters of the SC 6.

They would all follow someone like Bannon or Trump to do the unthinkable, which seems to be what they did with their ruling yesterday.

They are so close to victory they can smell it. The only way they can lose is if the next election is "rigged". Wait! Where have we heard that before?

No way that can came up with any legal reasoning. The reality is that the six don’t need any guidance from political idiots. They know what they want and they know how to get there in a legal opinion. You’re giving Bannon and Trump way too much credit.

The reason? The Koch oligarch network. See Sheldon Whitehouse's 'The Scheme' series.
As for guidance, they need accountability, since rule of law left the building a while back in this session.

Wed Jul 3, 2024, 12:28 AM
Jul 2024

Someone should challenge that somehow. The SC is supposed to consider the validity of laws passed by Congress and it applies to our Constitution. They interpret the Constitution to make those decisions. Here there were no laws regarding immunity of the President passed by Congress and there is nothing in the Constitution stating any kind of immunity. In addition they will often weigh in on the balance between the 3 branches but even that is not valid here since there is only one branch of government involved, the executive.
