I'm hopeful that Biden wins, Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito get hounded into retirement by the press.

and then there's the question of whether I'd be real pleased with what I was seeing ...
( and I'm assuming that Roe/Wade and some return of 'separation doctrine' - would be considered just a return to 'standard' or norm? )

(11,203 posts)Democrats believe in the intent of the Constitution. The founders did not see the Presidency as a position above the law. The founders did not think businesses with many employees (corporations) were people. The founders would not agree to deny women healthcare to save their lives. The founders would not allow an ex-President insurrectionist to run for the Presidency.
The founders may have intended that the courts job is to interpret the law, not just vote to please the popular ideology of their political party. If they (the justices) do not agree with the law, they can recommend congressional action. I feel that if wed never adopted the terms, liberal and conservative judges, we wouldnt be in this mess.

I recall the hearings for trumps three stooges and never heard the question, would you vote to overturn Roe V Wade? Many questions in the ballpark, but not to the point. One of many disappointments during his minority vote wins the election term.
