Why can't President Biden just hold a news conference?

This is driving me crazy. Why is Pres. Biden waiting until this weekend to just give one interview? He should be doing at least one a day.
Why wasn’t he out there today or tomorrow giving an hour plus press conference? Answer a dozen or more press questions. Prove he is fine and put this to rest.
His not doing this, to me, is giving credence to there being something wrong.

The last thing you want to do is put him in a situation where the press jumps at him like vultures. I recall when the Hurr report came out, Biden gave a press conference and it was generally okay but he also flubbed the name of a country (I think) and something else, which overall was fairly minor but the press ran with it.

I think it's best to start with a 1:1 and then build from there. He does really well 1:1. But I agree that a press conference is needed - just not needed right now.

I also would like him to do some townhalls.

Most of the posts are “hey, I love Joe Biden but gee…he wasn’t his best at the debate and….well, I’m just asking questions….but shouldn’t we put up a younger more energetic candidate?” My gawd.
