..... Looks like the eyewall and area of most intense winds will stay south of Jamaica. If this holds, there will still be some big impacts, but not nearly as bad as it could be.

I can tell you from personal experience that waiting for the eye to pass by is more stressful than anything one could ever endure. Just the wind from Floyd slightly moved my house off the foundation.

I hope we hear from her soon.

I think between some interference from the Jamaican mountains and the ever increasing wind shear Beryl is taking a gut punch. Worse possible track along the southern coast but so far it may stay just far enough offshore to keep any wind maxima at bay. Its still gonna push a lot of water into the southern coastline. This thing was very Ivanesque looking but I think they may have caught it at just the right time. Weakening hurricanes tend not to mix down the strongest winds, but those may still be an issue in the Mts. As with all hurricanes the real killer is the water so hopefully its fast track will keep precip levels low, especially in the Mts. Here's hoping all is well

…and should be a weaker storm than it is now. But it’s still 5 days from landfall and things could change. Prepare and keep an eye out.
