General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsI have done a bit of cogitating in the last days. Joe's values are "America's" values. At least in my time here since
the 1960's. The dystopian agenda from the "other side" is not tolerable for any kind of a functioning society. And (God Forbid) Joe may have issues, but we have a fully capable VP. That's what they are there for. Go Joe. You beat him "like a drum" the first time, and you will kick his orange ass again.
Joe's values are my values. Period.

(29,949 posts)Hes brain function is fine. As proven by the in a speech the day after the debate.
But even if I did think he is losing his facilities, it would be fatal to change now ( which I do not ).
Besides no good Democrat has any desire to replace Biden. So all the talk of replacement is pretty moot.

But unless we are very lucky and something campaign-ending happens to Donnie Dumbass, we're probably not going to win with what is perceived to be an impaired candidate. There's just not enough of us. That's why we need answers and facts right now, and we can't just ignore what happened.

(82,378 posts)People are told to ignore what was seen, it is minor and a figment of the imagination.
There is certainty that only one option will work.
A lot of people are very frightened and it shows.
Many people with their hair on fire. Which is not the way to win at anything.
I keep pointing out that calling each vile names is not the way to build a
team and work towards a goal, but the hatred and anger gets worse.
At the same time they want us to help them when they have been cussing everyone out.
People just need their questions answered and some facts.
And I think we are being played by the GOP and Putin as well.
I think we have been let down and set up.
So there may be no choice but to go with the flow and hope for the best.

Putin/MAGA fingerprints all over it.
I felt that Putin would do some more devious deeds, and here we are.
Yes I think the plan is to stay the course no matter what.
Biden's performance is a non issue. Kamala is the back up.
The polls and facts are non issues as they are deemed as unreliable.
The peeling away members of congress speaking out are non issues.
They can be brought back into the fold with various methods.
The request for an aggressive damage control plan is also a non starter.
Just keep trucking on as usual.
I am happy to vote for Joe Biden. I knew before he declared his last candidacy
that he was the only one who could beat Trump and do the clean up of Trump's mess.
But I am not the issue, I will vote for Biden no matter what.
The issue was other voters, swing voters and independents. That appears to be
a non issue as well.

We KNOW TSF's backers want to dismantle our government and all the protections it provides.
And we KNOW the media is behind this push to get rid of Joe Biden. The GOP couldn't find any way to hang a crime on him and the voters know who helped them Trump is desperate and the people using him as their front man are too. They know Trump cannot beat Biden
But, some of us wanna toss it all away? Is THAT where some are? Hmmm, just been reading about troll farms and bot farms. They seem to be pushing the 'dump joe' marketing, but I just don't expect to see such garbage being used here.

This question needs to be asked because whatever Democratic nominee wins at the convention, he or she will be facing Donald and whatever amoral, abasing toady Donald John chooses as his vice-presidential running-mate.
Wingus Dingus
(9,173 posts)more than hard core Democrats and whoever's terrified of Trump. I don't know if there's enough people who are going to be solely motivated to vote AGAINST Trump. This is why I don't understand people here saying they don't care about his public appearance problems. That's nice, you like him. But that's not going to carry us.
