What the corporate media hopes we're too stupid to figure out

There is no reason the coverage of the debate had to be almost 100% about Biden's performance. Cheato's performance was horrendous too.

As Will Stancil said on twitter today:

Let me explain this in very simple terms.
1. The media right now is publishing many stories about how Biden should drop out.
2. Those stories are pushing his polls down among swing voters.
3. Why shouldn't/couldn't they publish the same stories about Trump?

Boldfaced emphasis is mine. Basically, the press creates the situation then cries "who us?" and doesn't even entertain the idea that cheato's performance was AT LEAST as worthy of hundreds of stories.

but that doesn't mean the media doesn't share a lot of the blame here. They are creating the narrative.
