You've had ample opportunity to shit on Joe Bien (always with "love" of course) and exhort him to leave the race.
Fine.
Feel better? Wiser?
Now SHUT THE FUCK UP AND GET BACK IN LINE. Do it now and you won't lose your place.
The real issue is the convicted felon and wannabe dictator. Put all that energy into stopping THAT threat, not the guy who had 3-½ years of brilliance and a 90 minute spot of bad TV.

(120,001 posts)and while "yelling at people in a DU post" might be just venting, connections like DU affect people's attitudes IRL. If reading doom and gloom and pearl-clutching on DU or other social media discourages me or affects how I think about the election, will it affect either my vote or my inclination to take action, contribute to or work for the campaign or the party? Nothing happens in a vacuum, it's all connected. Some people have announced their departure from DU because they've become so disheartened by the doomsayers. Are they so disheartened that they''re giving up, or are they just avoiding all the negativity? What we say to other people, here or IRL, matters.

Like I said many times...no one has the right to get President Biden off the top of the ticket except for one person and that is the president himself.
Democrats, think about this ...when a Democrat does a tiny tiny mistake...democrats want to lynch him. Trumputin is a rapist, a thief, a liar, and a gazillion other things plus stupid...no knowledge of history, government or humanity. Republicans worship him and stick by their felon.
Why can you stick by a good guy that was tired from travels and had a cold. Who cares about the stupid debate? In my view, he won the debate. He kicked trumputin's ass for 75% of the debate.

Joe Biden is the Democratic nominee and is protected by DU's "Don't bash Democratic public figures" rule. Advocating for his removal is currently considered "undermining" our candidate in a general election. Juries should act accordingly to remove such posts.

He literally has no one! The media might as well be working for the GOP. Republicans havent had to lift a finger.
Had everyone stood strongly behind Biden the second he took the debate stage and immediately after, this would have been over by now. The Democrats who take part in this are going to cost us the White House. Fools. Its insanity.

(11,170 posts)your tone and attitude and language couldn't be better designed to alienate and discourage some from voting for Biden in November.
Sure you can thump you chest and tell me to go fuck my self if I don't agree with you, but what are the chances you will get me to agree with you if you do? It makes you feel good and makes you all happy to shit on people who don't agree with you, but it does nothing that can help Biden in his efforts to get every vote possible. In the 2016 campaign, many Bernie supporters were called names told to shape up and get with the program. Did that cost the votes that Hillary needed? Do you really care if Biden wins or just want to chest pound. This isn't about you or even about Biden.
Suppose I didn't want Biden and called his supporters names and insulted their concerns with terms I won't use here. The two of us would make the magat planners very happy;
How about some reasoned debate and reassurance for your fellow Democrats rather than a screed that will divide he party and surely cost Biden support?

You can't just tamp down your sense of self righteous rage for a few months until we get as many votes as possible for Biden. You do know that we are going to need a large number of those blithering idiots to vote our way if we want to keep any semblance of decency in the country. (15,072 posts)The suffering we will all endure can barely be imagined. The billionaires are literally flooding the race with money because they want tax cuts and deregulation. They have freakishly spent their lives amassing billions of dollars and they are still hungry for just a little more.
This republic is at risk of ending, and we are at risk of all decent quality of life being crucified on the cross of the greed of a few billionaire parasites.
My son just got married and there were dozens of his friends and their parents there. He's in his late 30s. He and his millennial friends think Biden has been terrible because they get their news off social media and corporate-owned propaganda networks, and whether they vote for him or not is up in the air.
So yeah, I'm pretty concerned about this whole thing. I mean, think about the recent release that shows Trump had sex with underage girls supplied by Epstein. We seem to be the only ones who know about that, BECAUSE THE CORPORATE MEDIA HASN'T BEEN REPORTING ON THAT AT ALL.
For decades I have known the truth - the attempted Wall Street coup against FDR clear back in the 30s. The 1971 Powell Manifesto that laid out the plan for the corporate takeover of the US. Reagan killing the Fairness Doctrine. The 24/7/365 corporate long game to infiltrate schools and colleges, the Koch funded Tea Party. Citizens United, Dobbs and now this new decision making the president a king.
And the Democrats have not messaged well. They have gone high when the Republicans have attacked from the gutter.
Sorry, but my whole life, everything I've worked for, will probably go down the drain to give these billionaires just a few more dollars if we do not win.
We are responsible as a party for letting it get to this point in the first place. If we are very lucky 2025 will usher in at least a four-year continuation of the republic. If we are not, all bets are off and many of us will likely be disappearing into the new gulags that Bannon and Miller are ready to create.
So you know, Stinky, it is pretty serious, and yes I'll be fighting tooth and nail, donating, talking to people. But let's not sugar coat things here. I we can't make it happen then the loss of our republic will happen to us. Courtesy of Charlie Koch, Zuck, Bezos, Musk and the rest of the billionaire freaks.
Biden is a nice guy, a good man, and has been a great president, BUT NO ONE KNOWS ABOUT THIS DUE TO THE FAILURE OF THE PUBLICLY TRADED MEDIA TO REPORT ON IT. Where was our plan in say 2000 to begin laying the groundwork to get our story out? Where is our plan now? Because as I say the fix is in - billions of dollars are lined up and all we have is us and the rest of the American public purposely dumbed down over decades as part of the corporate plan.
When are we gonna learn? Wall Street and shareholder primacy capitalism RUINS all it touches, and it is all set to ruin this republic if we don't pull this out over the next four months. My stress level is through the fucking roof, and I know I'm not alone. I'm fucking angry, really, really mad.
And you know, I have no power at the federal level. I'm not some kind of influencer. I just get to watch. You have any idea how fucking stressful that is? For a 65 year old guy who is a caregiver and disabled himself? Who has HEALTH CARE DEBT because 'Murika ain't nebber goin go SOSH-A-LIST.
So don't be asking me to be a good little boy and get in line. I will do all I can including donations but there are some other folks that really really need to be getting their shit together. I'm sorry for saying that but it is the truth. It hurts to have NO say and just watch everything you care about, everything you love get pissed on because of corporate greed.
IF, and it is very much an IF, we win, we need to start playing hardball with these fucks.
shrike3
(5,370 posts)Biden has done a great job, but nobody knows that. The media doesn't talk about it, nor will they talk about Project 2025 and those plans for our futures. Our side has to bypass the media somehow and find other ways.
